Emir Sunusi: Simpletons Cannot Differentiate Apology & Contrition

Obviously some people don't know that there is difference between to apologize and being contrite. Left for me, Emir Sunusi will never apologize. Never! He did no wrong. But then he did. Simpletons are all over the place. The man simply said to the governor that "I APOLOGIZE FOR THE EMBARRASSMENT AND INCONVENIENCES MY REMARKS MIGHT HAVE CAUSED YOU".

They are busy tumbling over themselves. Na so common sense scarce for you. Are you kidding me? Are you that SIMPLE? There is no contrition there, Just pity on the man and the other minions with thin skins who were offended by the truth.

For start, the word "apology" was derived from the Greece-Latin word "apologia", which means a speech in one's own defense or to formally defend yourself against accusation. In time it transform to a regretful acknowledgement of an offense or failure, to say you are sorry for offending or failing you. Not necessarily for doing wrong.

Instead of celebrating the so-called apology, why not ask if there was "contrition", which means, the state of feeling guilt, remorse and penitent. Even though, I'm not happy the Emir apologized. He did nothing wrong, unless if to tell the truth by anyone is now an offense because someone is too weak to be hit by it. But I sleep in the solace that there was contrition.

He did what a lot of us smartly do to get what we want, or foolishly do to suffer. For example, how many times do men say to their wives, "honey, I'm sorry. I apologize". Not because they did wrong, but simply for peace to reign or because they want that 10, 30, 60 minutes or hours of gbenshu.

I guess, some of them have not heard the Hausa saying that, "Durkusa wa wada ba gajiyawa bane", or that line that Bob Marley made popular, "He who fights and run away, lives to fight another day". I see grown folks happy that he apologized. They are behaving like that foolish abused wife, whose husband slapped, kicked and punched her in the stomach, and immediately apologized.

Then he repeats it the next week and apologize, and again the next week and apologize. And she forgives him, because just like these simpletons she doesn't know the difference between apology and contrition. Any apology that is not accompanied with contrition is not a sincere apology.

If someone apologize, it may not necessarily means he is sorry. I've not seen where Emir Sanusi withdrew his position. None, nada. But he has apologized. And we know why. He apologized for touching on some very weak nerves who will not take anyone telling the truth to power or about them lightly.

He apologized for his lack of understanding of the fact that he is of a society that willfully ignore or bury evil. That is what he did. And until you tell us he was contrite then you have not won. Without contrition, apology is useless, you clown. And until he said he was wrong there are no people who are getting married in the North against the teachings of Islam.

They add wives they cannot carter for because they see them extra vag!n@as and objects to quench their $× drives, he is sorry you are offended not for lying or being wrong. Until he said he was wrong the North is not the region with the highest infant mortality in the country or that he was wrong the northern region is not the region where young mothers are 10 times more likely to die during childbirth than any other region, then what you have is just ordinary "sannu". No contrition.

Until he says, I made a mistake there are no men who are giving birth to kids they cannot feed, cloth, and educate but dump them to the streets to beg, he simply apologized for your truth hating not sorry he truth-tell. Until he said I lied the North is not the most diseased, the poorest and poorly educated region, and our leaders are doing nothing about it.

All you have is apology and even a pity from EMS II, and not contrition. Again, until the man says governors are not thieves. They are not interested in taking N800bn loans to build useless projects, adding to the debt of their states, while people die of meningitis, while there are no drugs in hospitals, no supplies in schools, you have been conned by a wiser man who pushed back your ignorance to you to keep his throne because his friends convinced him to just take you for who you are, and take the high road.

Until you tell us that EMS II in any way, form and shape withdrew all or any of his earlier comments about us, you have been had like a bitch. Lying and living on a lie because you don't want your to be embarrassed is not Islamic. In fact, it is unislamic.

We have a problem, we see the problem around us. Even if they silenced him, and will go on to register and induct him into the achi-shiru clique, we see what goes on around us, everyday. We will talk What worries you is your pride. We worry about the welfare and future of our people.

An apology not accompanied with contrition is not sincere. But I guess you just want to declare a win over the Amir and those who think he is right, so you don't care. A win is a win, abi. By the way, now that he has "apologized" what will happen to the investigation into the billions the "profligate" Amir wasted? Is that all, case closed?

Payment Issues About Npower Volunteers

Today I believe I can solve the little problem of payment issues concerning the Npower Volunteers team (FG) For now, some state is still working on the list, while some like they have not submitted a there own list. So my advice for some people that are just bringing information that contradict the real thing. Please, I must say some headmistress/headmaster doesn't know anything about the payment that's the simple truth they are telling you what they feel. The moment they started paying other States like Enugu and Anambra it means they have the comprehensive list so people that should be worried now do having issues with account updating.

There are reasons why suicide happens.

Now I won't be writing from just the "something happened to you, you feel sad and bam, let's die" angle. I am including the mental health condition part. So let's start from establishing the fact that I am bipolar. Yes, bipolar mental disorder. Clinically diagnosed. Taking drugs and undergoing therapy. This declaration is important because I see people coming out to say, stop claiming depression and mental health issues so you can sound knowledgeable about an issue. So this one is not a claim, I can send you a copy of my doctor's report. I carry it around with my documents. Ehen, now that that one is clear. Let's talk. You see all of you talking about suicide being selfish don't know what you are saying. You think we wake up and just want to k!ill ourselves, because we don't want to be around you people and bear the pain alone. Because our existence somehow makes your life better. Because you even care about what we are going through? One of ...
