These people are really cuck0oo! How can they not be able to tell the difference between a bumbling clown and cerebral man? The Doc said, "steal!ing IS NOT corruption" and the Prof said "corruption IS NOT JUST stealing money" and they are busy saying that it is the same statement.
When the Doc said stealing is not corruption, he made a definite pronouncement that to steal is not to be corrupt, or that stealing is not the same as corruption. But when Pro said, "corruption is not just about stealing", he is saying corruption is more than stealing from public coffers to include so many other aspects.
He even explained the other aspects of corruption other than stealing. In other words, corruption is the WHOLE and stealing is a PART. When a teacher trade with a student $× for high grades, the teacher is corrupt, but he didn't steal anything.
But if he illegally takes money from his school, state or country, then he is both stealing and engaging in corrupt act.
I've made a post here in regard to this issue in September of 2016, where I quoted from my books Business Management (2009) and Procurement (2010 - 2nd Edition), that corrupt practices include but not restricted to such issues as;
profligacy, stealing, personal buying, accepting gifts or favours, financial conflict of interest, bid rigging, tender splitting and misprocurement, reciprocity, hard sell, corporate prostitution, over invoicing, extortion, bribery, grease money, sharp practices, nepotism, etc. That list is definitely not exhaustive.
If there is anyone Doc's supporters should blame it is their bumbling ex-academic hero that cannot string together sentences and statements without wobbling and fumbling his line. I also said that what came out of his mouth that day may not be what he wanted to say but that is what came out. We cannot expect people to be professional mind readers.
