1. @Love. Let love be your God, not your pastors and religious leaders, not your bible which by the way s hould be reformed because it contains some stuff that makes some of you misbehave. Yea, you can say it is up to the individual to interpret it and apply it but really if anything incites hatred and unfair and irrational treatment/attitude towards others then it should be checked, reformed and the parts that are no longer relevant should be taken out. The universe is ever expanding, let your religion expand with the universe and be more relevant to present times, discarding wrong ideologies that give birth to irrational behavior.
Yeaa, so #love. And put @love first. DLove would make you understand that we are all human first, whether religious or irreligious, whether ga**y or straight, whether feminist or anti feminist. Trust me, when @love comes first, when your life expands enough to love people just the way they are, to treat them right and fairly, to treat them with the same respect and value you want to be accorded, to even when you draw the line between the people you let into you and the people you keep out still love and accept everyone, you'd realise that life would become much more easier.
@Love would make you learn to correct others in love without trying to be condescending and to show how much better you are than them. @Become love. #Become God. Sincerely, I have seen more irreligious people embody everything that is pure and kind and good about love. Agreed, no man is good but I have seen walking, breathing examples of love. They are almost everywhere today. Just they embrace that love.
2. @Common sense. Let your common sense come before your religious doctrines. We all know what the common sense really is? It is seeing everyone as equal and deserving of good treatment. It is learning to mind your business and letting people exercises their lawful human liberties without trying to impose your personal rules and lifestyle choices on them. It is choosing to be nonjudgmental. It is realising that most times, Church doctrines are made in a bid to not just control human behavior but to show off how much better one sect thinks it is than others.
The thing is these show offs and exhibitions never really end well. People die because of church doctri!ne, people end up hating other people because of church doctrine, diseases are spread because of church doctri!ne. Church doctrine would be the end of many. I mean, shebi you all believe in the Holy Spirit and in God in you, add common sense to that belief and just see the God in you lead you to do good and be more humane.
See, the point is not that you all lose your belief, I know some of you need it to stay sane through life's challenges. The point is that even with your belief you become sensible, rational thinking, common sense filled, loving people. Your religion cannot make you that. No amount of churching can make you that. Only you can make you that.
