Typically Igbo Words Never End In R or H.

So I bumped into a post where someone maintained that Igbo is the tribe and Ibo is the language or something of that nature. A lot of people think so too. Now Ibo is the anglicised version of Igbo. The British could not enunciate double consonant words or sounds like GB, GW, GH, KP, KW, NW, NY. It should be noted that the aforementioned words are letters of the Igbo alphabet.

Anyway because of their inability to pronounce such sounds, GB became B, KP became P, GW became G, and so on. This also affected a lot of Igbo spellings. So to them, Igbo became Ibo.
Enugwu which literally means Top of the hill/mountain became Enugu. (Enu means top, ugwu means hill, Ugu is the fluted pumpkin vegetable)
Okpara became Opara
Chukwu became Chuku
And so many other instances.

Also the spelling of a lot of Igbo places were altered and anglicised too.
Onisha became Onitsha
Owere became Owerri
Anambara became Anambra
Nkwere became Nkwerre
Oka became Awka
Okunano became Awkananaw
Okafo became Okafor
Uzo became Uzor
Ebo became Eboh

Typically Igbo words never end in R or H. Words are spelt exactly as they sound. So the addition of those letters was an attempt to anglicise our language to make it more pronounceable for the white man.

Now this is for those Igbos or non-Igbos who insist that Ibo is correct. No it isn't. You don't see me spelling Queen Elizabeth as Kwin Elisabet and forcing the British to accept it since it is actually the correct Igbo way of spelling it. But what do you know. No be una dey spell your name Olamide as Horlamedey.

Payment Issues About Npower Volunteers

Today I believe I can solve the little problem of payment issues concerning the Npower Volunteers team (FG) For now, some state is still working on the list, while some like they have not submitted a there own list. So my advice for some people that are just bringing information that contradict the real thing. Please, I must say some headmistress/headmaster doesn't know anything about the payment that's the simple truth they are telling you what they feel. The moment they started paying other States like Enugu and Anambra it means they have the comprehensive list so people that should be worried now do having issues with account updating.

Npower: Only BVN/Account Number Can Not Give Someone Access to Withdraw Money

No body can withdraw money from your account with only your BVN. BVN is just like your account number. The most important aspect of your account were as follow; The combination of the following; 1. ATM card number and pin number 2. Your bank registered phone number (i.e the SIM CARD and its number) together with that your particular bank name, and your bank account number/ BVN (one can use it to download and register a new device and withdraw all your money in that particular bank) 3.
